Vertu Medical is proud to announce that we are currently supporting NHS Frameworks relating to Managed Equipment and Clinical Service Solutions, and Maintenance, Repair, and Calibration of Medical Equipment.
Vertu has always ensured that the correct policies and procedures are in place to professionally and safely carry out service requirements as a supplier of medical equipment.
The Managed Equipment and Clinical Service Solutions framework agreement “offers access to managed services which provide fully bespoke managed equipment and clinical service solutions within but not limited to an imaging or theatre environment”. Suppliers awarded this framework agreement meet a number of conditions for compliance, including providing DBS checked staff where required, holding insurance of a minimum of £5 million, and holding ISO 9001 Quality Management, or equivalent, certification, Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) or equivalent, certification, and complying with the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) or equivalent, certification.
The Agreement for Maintenance, Repair and Calibration of Medical Equipment is “a nationally available agreement that incorporates a variety of service providers covering a large range of medical equipment categories, from Patient Assessment and Monitoring, through to Radiotherapy and Imaging”. The framework allows NHS Trusts to easily source suppliers and service providers at market-leading rates.
Vertu Medical is a Quality ISO-certified company providing cost-effective and flexible solutions. Our ISO certificates include ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, and ISO 13485:2016 Medical Devices – Quality Management System. Vertu is also fully compliant with the NHS Data Security and Protection toolkit. This is one of the requirements for the Managed Equipment and Clinical Service Solutions framework. We understand and are committed to our responsibility with respect to cyber security. The toolkit
is an online self-assessment tool that allows organisations to measure their performance against the National Data Guardian’s 10 data security standards. The toolkit must be used by all organisations with access to patient data and systems.
Vertu’s projects have included supplying equipment to three hospitals within Barts Health NHS Trust. This included supplying dental carts, ECG monitors, an MRI scanner, and other equipment. We help clients save money and minimise risk while keeping to deadlines. We
have also managed the removal of a Varian LINAC from the Royal Free Hospital. By supporting two key NHS Frameworks, we are able to continue to work with a number of NHS Trusts across the country.
